Combilent is looking for a Development Engineer Jun 07 2021

Become part of an innovative company, where everyone works together to develop and deliver the best solutions to customers. You will be part of an experienced team that appreciates your commitment - and where your efforts make a difference.

Danish world-class electronics company
Combilent in Farum develops and produces HF filtering and amplifier products for mission critical radio systems. Our customers are some of the world's largest suppliers of closed - loop radio communication systems. We are an economically strong company owned by Swedish Indutrade, which continuously invests in the latest test equipment and the latest development tools. We develop products and have series production in Farum.

Welcome to a sharp and committed team
You will be part of our development department, where we design customer-specific as well as our own products and solutions. In Farum, we are a team of 5 development engineers, with HF, mechanics, digital, analog and software design, and you will collaborate with our team of sales, production, purchasing and administration colleagues. The team consists of 20 colleagues in Denmark, and we have a sister company in the USA with 50 employees.

Participate in the entire development process
As a development engineer, you are involved in our projects from concept to commissioning in series production. You will typically work on 2-3 parallel projects. The tasks range from short adaptations to 2-year development projects, and together with your colleagues you help to:

  • assess, discuss and translate customer requirements into design specifications
  • select components for your designs
  • develop digital and analog circuits, which are integrated with HF designs in a single solution
  • make PCB layout of your designs. We use Altium
  • Possibly. develop embedded software
  • prepare product documentation
  • perform and document testing and verification of prototypes, including temperature testing
  • configure production test systems so that they can test the new products
  • provide technical production support, typically at production start-up

You will have independent responsibility for various maintenance tasks e.g. by Altium, just as you continuously document your activities in our internal systems.

Engage in close sparring with experienced colleagues
Our goal is to create products that have the correct functionality the first time they need to be type approved. That is why we focus on good documentation, just as our review processes are the cornerstone of all our work.

We hold weekly project meetings so that we are constantly updated on each other's tasks. Here you get the opportunity to bid with suggestions and good ideas, just as you yourself help to shape your upcoming work week. We have an expectation that we each take responsibility for our tasks so that we can achieve goals together.

Electronics engineer or technician
We imagine that you are a trained electronics engineer or technician with 3-10 years of experience. Regardless of your background, you are precise and well-organized in your documentation and in your communication. You are a skilled team player who contributes to the collaboration, and you are happy to offer solutions when we face technical challenges.

You have good English skills in both writing and speaking.

A little about Combilent

We have flextime, the opportunity to work from home, pension scheme, health insurance, massage, summer party, Christmas lunch, coffee, tea, fruit and the 6th holiday week.

We sit in good bright rooms with plenty of space, laboratory and meeting room.
